Dead chuffed to let you know that my best-seller Twice In A Lifetime is now out in audio! Hooray! Whether you’ve read the book or not, you’re in for a treat as TJ Richards has done a stellar job of narrating the tale of Harriet and Sally, bringing a delicious extra dimension to their story of second-chance romance. An American narrating one of my stories? It’s like I’ve died and gone to heaven ;0)
With a new year upon us, I like to look back at my goals for 2017 and ask: how did I do? I had a list of lofty ambitions 12 months ago which you can read here, but here’s how life shaped up to my goals… Continue reading » “My 2017 Goals: How Did I Do?”
Welcome to episode 36 of the Lesbian Book Club as I interview fellow UK author Wendy Hudson who’s just released her second crime-thriller Mine To Keep – and it’s brilliant, so you should go and buy it!
Her debut novel Four Steps won a Goldie award for Best Debut Novel in 2016 and she talks about setting her books in Scotland, how to create a character that readers love and how she sets up suspense in her books & keeps it going. Wendy also reveals how she fits in writing around her day job, the mantras that spur her on and her favourite crime writers in lesfic. She’s a fabulous interview with a lilting Scottish accent, to take a listen!
As usual, I also do a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as celebrating the fact that my new book Twice In A Lifetime is out now! Hooray! It’s a second-chance romance set in Chicago and New York, featuring Harriet and Sally, two former teenage lovers who meet again in their 30s. Will lightning strike twice, or will it be a case of once bitten, twice shy? If you love lesbian romance packed with wit, love & cocktails, this is the book for you!
I’ll be reading from my new novel at the upcoming Diva Literary Festival in Birmingham on Nov 3rd-5th. Get your tickets now and I’ll see you there! And do let me know who you’d like on the podcast – drop me an email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
I’m beyond thrilled to let you know that Twice In A Lifetime is finally out – hurrah! I’m not sure I’m meant to say this, being the author, but I fucking LOVE this book. It’s dreamy & steamy in equal measure, and I miss the characters already. Let me tell you about writing it… Continue reading » “Twice In A Lifetime Out Now!”
Thrilled to let you know that my new lesbian romance, Twice In A Lifetime, is due out in October – and here’s the gorgeous cover! I really love this, it’s bold, in-your-face, and I fell in love with it instantly. I hope you do too!
My new lesbian romance is a second-chance love story set in Chicago (and New York), the first time I’ve set a book outside my beloved UK. I was inspired to do this after a fab trip to the Windy City in June, and by my many trips to the Big Apple over the years.
In the book, you get to meet Harriet Locke, a go-getting entrepreneur, and Sally McCall, a greetings card designer. They were each other’s first loves when they were teeangers, but then they drifted apart. When they meet 17 years later, will they still like each other? Can they trust each other? Will true love really strike twice in a lifetime?
Twice In A Lifetime is due out late October!
What am I working on? My new novel, Twice In A Lifetime, due later this year. I’ve nearly finished the first edit and I really like it so far. It’s a second-chance romance and it’s set in the USA, in Chicago, the first time I’ve ever set one of my books outside the UK. Doing so was inspired by a trip to Chicago this summer, which I absolutely loved, and now I keep bugging my Chicago friends for details I’ve forgotten. Also, thank goodness for Google maps! I’ve been walking up and down Lake Michigan, the Magnificent Mile, and sailing down the Chicago river.
