Summer Readings!

LFest-blog

I’m now well into my summer stride – the light and fluffy duvet’s on, the BBQ has been used at least once and I’ve even sat in my garden to have breakfast. It’s like I live in LA or summat. You know what else summer’s about? Drinking beer in fields and getting all dreamy at festivals, that’s what! Over the next two weeks, I’ll be appearing at a couple of venues, so if you’re in the UK and coming along to either LFest or Brighton Pride, do stop by and say hi!

First port of festival call is LFest, which is taking place this weekend at Uttoxeter racecourse in Staffordshire. I’m hosting the Indie Author Panel on Saturday lunchtime at 12.15pm, and we’ll be discussing Drama, Desire & Divas – which just about sums me up in a nutshell. On the panel doing readings and answering your questions will be indie sensations HP Munro, Karen Campbell, Suzanne Egerton and Sally Edwards. The session takes place on the arts stage at 12.15pm on Saturday July 18th – come along for your fix of lesfic!

But if you can’t make it to the midlands, how about Brighton Pride? I’m thrilled to say that I’ll be hosting the Literature Live In The Park tent at Brighton Pride, all afternoon from 2-5pm. I’ll be reading from This London Love, as well as introducing a great range of authors, including Catherine Hall and Stevan Alcock. So come down, there’s a fantastic line-up of authors as well as tea and cake. What more could you ask for? Hope to see you there!

LFest takes place at Uttoxeter Racecourse, Staffordshire, July 17th-19th. Buy tickets here.

Brighton Pride takes place on August 1st at Preston Park, Brighton.
