The Lesbian Book Club With Ann Aptaker

In episode 28 of the Lesbian Book Club, I have the pleasure of interviewing award-winning US crime noir author Ann Aptaker.

Ann lives in New York and after years working as an art curator has turned her hand to writing, with spectacular results. She’s just released Genuine Gold – book three in her series about art smuggler Cantor Gold – and it’s already garnering rave reviews. This follows up Ann’s first two books in the series, Criminal Gold and Tarnished Gold, and I’d recommend all three.

Ann talks about her writing and how she puts the focus on emotion in her work, as well as highlighting her love of New York and its history. Give it a listen – Ann is a brilliantly engaging guest, with a cool New York accent to boot!

I also do a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as talking about the final instalment of my All I Want series, All I Want Forever, out now! Get in touch and let me know who you’d like on the podcast! mail@clarelydon.co.uk
