Let Me Entertain You!

me-mic

Let’s all take a look at the gorgeous microphone I’m sitting in front of above – isn’t it beautiful? Recently, my friend brought this mic round and we recorded me narrating the first few chapters of The Long Weekend and London Calling for you to listen to. So now, you can hear my dulcet tones wrapped around my novels – let me know whether you approve! I’m hoping to put both my books onto Audible and iTunes in the near future as audiobooks – and I might even read them, you never know. In the meantime, this was a lot of fun – and below, you can listen to the outcome! Continue reading » “Let Me Entertain You!”

Everyday Writing Inspiration

inspiration

A few weeks ago, I put the finishing touches to the first draft of book three – it’s called book three as I’m still deciding on the title. This next book is the follow-up to London Calling, the story of Jess’s flatmate Kate and her search for love in modern-day London. When you finish a first draft, there’s always a moment of elation, a big sigh of relief, but then the thought – what’s next? Getting inspiration for your next story is paramount and that means getting out there and experiencing life in all its glory… Continue reading » “Everyday Writing Inspiration”

Runner-Up For London Calling!

Runner-UpMD

It’s been a great start to the week for my debut novel London Calling, which came second in the 2014 Rainbow Awards Best Cover Contest, making it through from hundreds of initial entries. I still love the cover and the congratulations should go to my designer and friend Kevin Pruitt who did a stellar job. Well done to all the winners & runners-up, and a huge round of applause to Eliza Reviews for putting together the whole shebang.

Vote For London Calling in the Rainbow Awards!

london-calling-clare-lydon

My first novel, London Calling, is up for Cover of the Year in the annual Rainbow Awards which is ace. The numbers have been whittled down from loads to just 15 covers and it’s open to a public vote until November 29th to decide the winner. The rules are simple – you have to vote for at least three covers and provide your email address. That’s it. A vote for London Calling would be much appreciated. Thanks!
