The Lesbian Book Club with Laura Kay

Welcome to episode 72 of the Lesbian Book Club, where I interview UK author Laura Kay. Her debut novel The Split has been described as like “meeting Marian Keyes and Dawn O’Porter in a gay bar in Sheffield.” Laura tells us about writing it: “I wanted to write about a friendship between a queer woman and a queer man, and it was just a joy.” She also talks about how Sheffield is the worst place to run “crazy hilly and cold!”, and how she could never live on a houseboat.

I also do a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as updating you on the latest news from lesfic world. My upcoming novel Change Of Heart is out in October, and the audiobook of Big London Dreams is coming in November.
