Welcome to episode 34 of the Lesbian Book Club as I interview US author Kate Christie who’s written many books including Training Ground, Game Time, In The Company Of Women and Gay Pride And Prejudice. Her books take in romance, the army, and soccer, and in this interview we get the nitty gritty on Kate’s writing style, the low down on why she took on the Jane Austen classic, and how she thinks writing lesbian fiction is a political act in today’s climate.

Welcome to episode 33 of the Lesbian Book Club as I interview UK broadcaster, comedian and author Rosie Wilby, who’s just released her book Is Monogamy Dead? Rosie’s book is non-fiction in a change for this podcast, and asks the title’s question by journeying through her life, shining a spotlight on all her relationships and asking some searching and often awkward questions. Rosie talks about the writing journey, what she learned and how her new partner is coping with her promoting such a book!

Welcome to episode 32 of the Lesbian Book Club, where I had the pleasure of interviewing fabulous UK author Andrea Bramhall.  Andrea is the author of many books including Clean Slate, Nightingale, Collide-O-Scope and Under Parr. Her books take in romance and crime, and she’s also a Lambda award winner with Clean Slate. Andrea talks about the inspiration for her writing and her characters, how she plans a book, tapping into her darker side and diversity in lesfic. She’s incredibly candid in the interview, talking about darker times in her life that have fed into her fiction.

The Lesbian Book Club With Harper Bliss

Welcome to episode 31 of the Lesbian Book Club, where I had the pleasure of interviewing the uber-prolific author Harper Bliss and her wife Caroline. Together the duo run their small press, Ladylit Publishing, which as well as publishing all of Harper’s books has also just launched MyLesfic.com, a new discount lesbian fiction newsletter. Harper is a huge favourite with fans of lesbian romance and her books are regular chart-toppers around the globe – the most recent being Everything Between Us and This Foreign Affair, part of the Pink Bean series. Harper and Caroline are currently digital nomads and 2017 is shaping up to be a tour de force for them both.

Natasha’s been prolific in her output over the past year or so, releasing a rom-com series including The Plus One and Something For The Weekend, as well as tending to her other series involving lesbian lothario Julia Hawke. She tells us about choosing herself and about juggling all her projects!

The Lesbian Book Club With Ann Aptaker

In episode 28 of the Lesbian Book Club, I have the pleasure of interviewing award-winning US crime noir author Ann Aptaker.

Ann lives in New York and after years working as an art curator has turned her hand to writing, with spectacular results. She’s just released Genuine Gold – book three in her series about art smuggler Cantor Gold – and it’s already garnering rave reviews. This follows up Ann’s first two books in the series, Criminal Gold and Tarnished Gold, and I’d recommend all three.

Ann talks about her writing and how she puts the focus on emotion in her work, as well as highlighting her love of New York and its history. Give it a listen – Ann is a brilliantly engaging guest, with a cool New York accent to boot!

The Lesbian Book Club With AL Brooks

Episode 27 is upon us – hurrah! And this month, I’m interviewing the wonderful author AL Brooks, who I think is going to be a stalwart in the lesbian fiction charts for many years to come!

Angela burst onto the lesfic scene last year with her debut novel The Club, which centred around a lesbian sex club in Manchester and the women who frequented it. It was the erotic hit of 2016, and now she’s got the writing bug, Angela is not stopping, with a new book out in February and another in the works. Welcome to episode 25 of the Lesbian Book Club. We’re a quarter of a century old. Doesn’t time fly when  you’re having fun!?

This month I’m interviewing fellow Brit Jane Retzig, best known for The Wrong Woman, Boundaries and The Retreat. Jane talks about publishing in the 90s and the differences doing it herself today, as well as chatting religion and the inspiration behind her slightly off-kilter lesbian romance novels. These include the late-great Leonard Cohen and, oddly, Alexandra Burke. Jane is a fabulous guest, so I hope you enjoy.

The Lesbian Book Club With Lynn Ames

Welcome to episode 24 of the Lesbian Book Club as I interview award-winning US author Lynn Ames, best known for her Kate & Jay series including the most recent novel Final Cut, as well as her romance All That Lies Within.

Lynn talks about her writing process, how she weaves her characters throughout multiple books, as well as shedding light on her friendship with Dot Wilkinson who inspired her historical romance Bright Lights Of Summer. What’s more, having worked in US politics, Lynn assures us that Trump won’t win. Let’s hope she’s right!

The Lesbian Book Club with G Benson

Welcome to episode 23 of the Lesbian Book Club! This month, I interviewed Australian writer G Benson who was all sorts of lovely. Gabby had her breakthrough book last year with All The Little Moments, an emotional juggernaut of a book and my fave lesfic of 2015; she followed that up this year with the very readable Flinging It, which deals with a woman having an affair with her boss’s wife. Gabby chats about living in Spain, how she made the jump from fan-fiction to full-blown author, and the importance of diversity in lesfic.

As well as that, I also do my usual run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as talking about my latest release, book 5 in the All I Want series – All I Want For Autumn – due out on Sept 21st!
