Welcome to episode 36 of the Lesbian Book Club as I interview fellow UK author Wendy Hudson who’s just released her second crime-thriller Mine To Keep – and it’s brilliant, so you should go and buy it!
Her debut novel Four Steps won a Goldie award for Best Debut Novel in 2016 and she talks about setting her books in Scotland, how to create a character that readers love and how she sets up suspense in her books & keeps it going. Wendy also reveals how she fits in writing around her day job, the mantras that spur her on and her favourite crime writers in lesfic. Twice In A Lifetime: Cover Reveal!
Thrilled to let you know that my new lesbian romance, Twice In A Lifetime, is due out in October – and here’s the gorgeous cover! I really love this, it’s bold, in-your-face, and I fell in love with it instantly. I hope you do too!
My new lesbian romance is a second-chance love story set in Chicago (and New York), the first time I’ve set a book outside my beloved UK. I was inspired to do this after a fab trip to the Windy City in June, and by my many trips to the Big Apple over the years.
In the book, you get to meet Harriet Locke, a go-getting entrepreneur, and Sally McCall, a greetings card designer. They were each other’s first loves when they were teeangers, but then they drifted apart. When they meet 17 years later, will they still like each other? Can they trust each other? Will true love really strike twice in a lifetime?
Twice In A Lifetime is due out late October!
