Back in January, I made a list of goals for the year. 2017 is slipping by at pace, so now, at the five-month mark, how am I doing? Let’s take a look… Continue reading » “My Goals For 2017: How Am I Doing?”
In episode 28 of the Lesbian Book Club, I have the pleasure of interviewing award-winning US crime noir author Ann Aptaker.
Ann lives in New York and after years working as an art curator has turned her hand to writing, with spectacular results. She’s just released Genuine Gold – book three in her series about art smuggler Cantor Gold – and it’s already garnering rave reviews. This follows up Ann’s first two books in the series, Criminal Gold and Tarnished Gold, and I’d recommend all three.
Ann talks about her writing and how she puts the focus on emotion in her work, as well as highlighting her love of New York and its history. Give it a listen – Ann is a brilliantly engaging guest, with a cool New York accent to boot!
I also do a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as talking about the final instalment of my All I Want series, All I Want Forever, out now! Get in touch and let me know who you’d like on the podcast! email@example.com
I began writing the story of Tori and Holly in July 2015. While everyone else was slapping on the factor 15 and jetting off to hotter climes, I was embarking on a Christmas book. However, writing a Christmas story in summer posed no difficulty at all, because like my main character Tori, I love Christmas – so bringing it forward a few months was a plus. When I used to work in an office, I’d always get told off for playing Christmas music way too early. Now, I have a job where playing Christmas tunes in July is perfectly acceptable. Win!
After a couple of month percolating inside my brain, I’m pleased to announce that the last chapter of my lesbian romance series, All I Want Forever, is here! It’s the final instalment in the Tori & Holly saga, and while I’m a little sad to say goodbye, I hope you’ll be pleased with the results. As usual, there’s disaster & desire in equal measure, along with huge dollops of humour and heart to keep the story moving at a clip. But the question is, will Tori & Holly get their happy ever after? You’ll have to read the book to find out! Here’s the blurb… Continue reading » “All I Want Forever On Sale!”
Episode 27 is upon us – hurrah! And this month, I’m interviewing the wonderful author AL Brooks, who I think is going to be a stalwart in the lesbian fiction charts for many years to come!
Angela burst onto the lesfic scene last year with her debut novel The Club, which centred around a lesbian sex club in Manchester and the women who frequented it. It was the erotic hit of 2016, and now she’s got the writing bug, Angela is not stopping, with a new book out in February and another in the works. Listen to her chat writing, productivity and being a first-time author here!
As usual, I also do a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as talking about the final instalment in my All I Want series, All I Want Forever, due out on January 27th – I’m so excited and also a tiny bit sad to say goodbye. Get in touch and let me know who you’d like as a guest on the podcast! firstname.lastname@example.org
My brand-new novel and the final instalment in the All I Want lesbian romance series – All I Want Forever – is due out on January 27th and I couldn’t be more excited! Tori and Holly have been with me for over a year now, and writing the final scene was brilliant and emotional, as I bid a fond farewell to London’s favourite lesbian couple. At the end of All I Want For Autumn, they were newly engaged, Tori headed for San Francisco, while Holly was jobless. New year, new ambitions. For 2017, I’ve come up with a whole new set of goals to hit to make this year my best one yet as a lesbian romance author. They include writing, travelling, reading more widely and living a positive life – and I plan on doing that starting from now. Want to delve into my goals and see the targets I’ve set for myself? Then read on…
Back in January 2016, I set out my goals for the year – the first time I’d ever done so in public. You can read the post here. So how did I do? Seeing as I didn’t actually check my goals after March (for shame!), actually not too badly. 2016 was the year I ramped up my production of books, so come with me as I look back on my goals for 2016 and see what happened along the way…
I have a confession to make: I’ve been slacking. I brought out All I Want For Autumn in September, and since then, I’ve been doing all I can not to write. And when I put my mind to something, I can compete at Olympic level… Continue reading » “All I Want Forever In The Works!”
This year, I’ve dedicated a fair chunk of my time to writing the story of Tori & Holly, and I’m three books down in this lesbian romance series – phew! I’ve loved writing these characters, and there are three more books to come this year, so stay tuned. But if you haven’t caught up with Tori & Holly yet, I’ve packaged up the first three books into a boxset featuring All I Want For Christmas, All I Want For Valentine’s and All I Want For Spring. Want to know more? Read on…
