covers-small

Because this month, as well as launching my new novel The Long Weekend, I’ve also been fortunate enough to contribute two brand new short stories to two different anthologies! Honestly, you wait for one charity lesbian fiction anthology to rock up, then two show up at once… Continue reading » “New Short Stories Ahoy!”

The One Where I Got Married…

mr-whippy

I don’t know if I mentioned it, but I recently got married. Yes, after months of preparation, a few belated weeks of stress and last-minute panic-buying from Poundland (no expense spared), it finally happened. But I went into Blue Is The Warmest Colour with an open mind and an empty bladder – I made sure of this, what with it being three hours long…

Say ‘I Do’ To Marriage Equality

westminter

February 5th was a historic night in my life, in the life of British politics and the British populace. This was the night that parliament voted overwhelmingly in favour of same-sex marriage, thereby ushering in a new era of marriage where it’s open to all, whoever you fall in love with. No longer are gays and lesbians second-class citizens at the wedding breakfast – soon we’ll be able to call it a wedding, call our spouse our spouse, and dualities of husbands and wives will be commonplace. This is so astonishing that even writing it is still astounding…
