Now is a fabulous time to be reading lesbian fiction: fact. Why? Because never before has there been such variety in the genre, such a wealth of titles to serve every possible niche. Romance, fantasy, sci-fi, western, horror, paranormal, mystery, thriller, rom-com – it’s all here! Just take your pick and settle back. Nothing To Lose: Runner-Up in Rainbow Awards!

NothingToLose-281x449

It was awesome to wake up to the news this morning that my novel, Nothing To Lose, had scored a Runner-Up spot in the Rainbow Awards 2016, in the category of Best Contemporary Lesbian Romance! I loved writing this book, so I’m thrilled that readers connected with it so brilliantly too.

If you’d like to read the full list of winners and runners-up, click here for more. The winner was Clare Ashton’s Poppy Jenkins, which was thoroughly deserved – it was one of my favourite lesfic books of 2016.

Well done to all the finalists, runners-up and the winners!

The Lesbian Book Club With Jane Retzig

Welcome to episode 25 of the Lesbian Book Club. We’re a quarter of a century old. Doesn’t time fly when  you’re having fun!?

This month I’m interviewing fellow Brit Jane Retzig, best known for The Wrong Woman, Boundaries and The Retreat. Jane talks about publishing in the 90s and the differences doing it herself today, as well as chatting religion and the inspiration behind her slightly off-kilter lesbian romance novels. These include the late-great Leonard Cohen and, oddly, Alexandra Burke. Jane is a fabulous guest, so I hope you enjoy.

As usual, I also do a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, and chat about writing the final book of my All I Want series, All I Want For Forever, due out soon! I was initially saying December, but it might drip into January as it’s taking on a life of its own. But definitely soon.

I’ve also written a FREE seasonal Christmas novella, It Had To Be You. If you’d like a copy, click here and sign up to get one. And don’t forget to get in touch and let me know who you’d like on the podcast. mail@clarelydon.co.uk

The Lesbian Book Club With Lynn Ames

Welcome to episode 24 of the Lesbian Book Club as I interview award-winning US author Lynn Ames, best known for her Kate & Jay series including the most recent novel Final Cut, as well as her romance All That Lies Within.

Lynn talks about her writing process, how she weaves her characters throughout multiple books, as well as shedding light on her friendship with Dot Wilkinson who inspired her historical romance Bright Lights Of Summer. What’s more, having worked in US politics, Lynn assures us that Trump won’t win. Let’s hope she’s right!

I also do my usual run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as talking about the latest in my All I Want series, All I Want For Autumn, out now! I’m currently working on the final episode in the series, All I Want Forever, due out in a couple of months.

Get in touch and let me know who you’d like on the podcast! mail@clarelydon.co.uk

All I Want For Autumn Out Now!

alliwantforautumn-350x560Thrilled to announce that the latest seasonal instalment in the lives of Tori & Holly – All I Want For Autumn – is out now!

As I have stated, I got pretty emotional writing this one, because it was an emotional journey the two characters went on – and also, as it turned out, a defining journey. This is the instalment where their lives were forced to settle down and where life threw stuff at them to test their strength and to ask them the vital question: what do they really want, not just for Autumn, but for their lives?

The Lesbian Book Club with G Benson

Welcome to episode 23 of the Lesbian Book Club! This month, I interviewed Australian writer G Benson who was all sorts of lovely. Gabby had her breakthrough book last year with All The Little Moments, an emotional juggernaut of a book and my fave lesfic of 2015; she followed that up this year with the very readable Flinging It, which deals with a woman having an affair with her boss’s wife. Gabby chats about living in Spain, how she made the jump from fan-fiction to full-blown author, and the importance of diversity in lesfic.

As well as that, I also do my usual run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, as well as talking about my latest release, book 5 in the All I Want series – All I Want For Autumn – due out on Sept 21st!

I’ll also be selling books at Triskele Litfest, Lift, 45 White Lion Street, London, N1 9PW on Sept 17th, 1-6pm. Come along if you’re free for a fabulous afternoon of books and readings!
